Get to know Speyer on a walking tour where you'll trace the story of Speyer's Jewish community from the year 1084 to today, visiting significant UNESCO sites including the Jewish courtyard with historical Jewish synagogue -OR- follow guides in historical garb on a journey back in time to discover the everyday lives of citizens in the Middle Ages. Later, the river takes you to Mannheim where you'll have free time to explore this German city and its parks on your own. Perhaps you'll join an optional excursion to Heidelberg, an ancient city of Renaissance buildings and castle ramparts. |

After lunch, dock in Alken and take a journey to Cochem, a storybook town overlooking the water. Embark on a guided tour through the town and into Reichsburg Castle, a fortress perched high upon a hill with a stunning view of Cochem and the Moselle Valley below. |
| Day 6 | Bernkastel | Experience the Moselle Valley, starting in the over 2,000-year-old town of Zell. Board a coach and enjoy views of the beautiful wine-lined landscapes on your way to Bernkastel in the heart of the Moselle wine region. Visit a wine cellar where a local winemaker will introduce you to their culture while you enjoy a tasting of Mosel wines. Then, return to your ship in Zell to set sail this afternoon. |
